This is where we'll share what's happening at Glide — the announcements, the milestones, and the stories from the people getting where they need to go.

Glide gives free self-driving Tesla rides, each with a vetted safety operator on board, to adults 65 and over and people with disabilities. No fares. No surge pricing. No tipping. Just a ride, whenever getting one shouldn't cost a fortune or a favor.

Why we're opening this space

A ride is rarely just a ride. It's a doctor's appointment you don't have to cancel. Groceries you don't have to ask a neighbor to pick up. A grandchild's recital you get to be at. We started Glide because too many people are one missed ride away from missing the things that matter — and we think that's a solvable problem.

This newsroom is how we'll keep you in the loop as we grow: where Glide is rolling out next, what we're building, and the moments that remind us why this work is worth doing.

Funded by the community, in the open

Every Glide ride is free because the community keeps it that way. Contributions cover the cost of getting people where they're going — and we show exactly where that support goes, in real time, on our community board. Transparency isn't a footnote for us; it's the whole point.
